Set Free Care

Set Free Care was started in 1996, out of ongoing requests for food from people who were hungry and poor and looking for assistance. A simple idea of a BBQ to meet this immediate need of hunger/need for those who were seeking assistance, quickly grew into a substantial free lunch program.

We now help to hand out discounted pantry packs, free haircuts, discounted clothing through our Op Shop (shOP), free laundry service through Orange Sky Laundry agency, and the availability of services from across the Gold Coast including government and non-government agencies. Organisations that we currently partner with include Orange Sky laundry service, HHOT (Homeless Health Outreach Team), Foodbank and the Gold Coast Homeless Network.
